There was on Thursday, 16^th of October, at the Building of the Republic Parliament a celebration of the 55^th birthday of the “Vecernje Novosti”. Many significant people from cultural and public life of Serbia, just as many ambassadors attended this event. In the name of the Serbian Strength Movement – Bogoljub Karic this celebration attended Ljubica Vukotic – general manager and Jadranka Tasic – member of the EB and the spokesman of the Movement. Serbian Strength Movement – Bogoljub Karic sternly condemns declaration of independency of Kosovo and Metohija adopted by one side.

This kind decision of Albanians from Kosovo is in opposition with international law and regulations and it could not be accepted as legal and legitimate, says Dragomir J. Karic, deputy of the President of Serbian Strength Movement – Bogoljub Karic.

Karic also invited all Serbs to remain at their homes and to stay on Kosovo.

The constitutional Assembly of women of Serbian Strength Movement – Bogoljub Karic will be held in Villa Jelena on the 5^th of January. At this assembly, the women political network and Women Council of the Movement will be formed.

Milanka Mara Karic, a candidate of the Serbian Strength Movement – Bogoljub Karic for president, will make her speech at the Constitutional Assembly at 13 pm.

Right after decision of the Main Board that Mrs. Milanka Mara Karic should be presidential candidate of Serbian Strength Movement, all Communal Boards of the Movement started to collect signatures for her candidacy. All those who want to support candidacy of Mrs. Milanka Karic personally can do it in their Communal Board. Signatures for candidacy will be delivered at the beginning of next week and  Mrs. Milanka Karic will be an official candidate for a president on following election.

Dragomir J. Karic, Deputy of the President of Serbian Strength Movement – Bogoljub Karic gave his comment to daily newspaper “Pravda” about statement of  the commander in chief of KFOR on Kosmet, General Gzavie De Marnak, who said that he expects for problem of Kosovo to be solved by disappearance of one nationality.

- Besides the fact that his words are very close to the truth, Commander De Marnak, as a highly professional solder, should be interested only in security of all citizens of Kosovo. It is not his job to make any political conclusions and to irritate the public by it. The whole Europe has a problem of old nationalities and their disappearance, not only South Serbian Province. Anyway, instead of demographic, Kosovo needs a democratic solution for its problem, according to international law – said Mr. Karic.

1. Did you give financial support to any political party and if you did, what did you get from them for it?

- We did not give financial support to any political party in a way to get something in return for it. It is true that during 90s Bogoljub Karic financially supported all oppositional parties but it was for patriot and democratic reasons. Anyway, he said more than once that he would never talk about it in public not because of him personally but because of those political leaders who took that money. If you donate money to someone it is not fair to talk about it. One thing is absolutely sure; he did not help only SPS because that party had its own printing office for money at Topcider. I want to say that management of SPS could take money from budget at any time for all its needs.

2. Do you think that powerful businessmen can make influence on the Government and Ministers?

- Bogoljub Karic was the first one who pointed out “Club 23” whose members are powerful Serbian businessmen. Those people collected their money during sanctions, economic blockade and through irregular privatization. Opinion of some eminent economists is that Serbia has lost at least 87 billion euros through this kind of privatization. Discovering of some affairs have proved that Bogoljub Karic was right when he claimed that Serbia has lost more than 40 billion euros on export of cigarettes, oil and other deficit goods. It is absolutely logical and clear that those who have earned all their fortune through this kind of irregular business want to control Government and authorities through financial centers of power. They have to do it to protect their illegal property and to continue to increase their bank accounts. 

3. Is it true that you have offered a financial help to our former ambassador in USA, Mr. Milan St. Protic?

- Our company has helped many our embassies all over the world. We have never offered money to any of ambassadors personally, but we have supplied our diplomatic offices with administrative material, computer equipment and maintenance of motor pool. We also organized many diplomatic receptions and we renovated buildings where our diplomatic corps were. We considered all of it as our patriot obligation and duty.

Personally, I do not believe that Albanians would attack, I think about members of terrorist organization ANA, unless they get approval for it from their mentors. I think that this is only a way of trying to frighten Serbs that remain on Kosovo. But, I worry about statements of Serbian politicians who say that Serbia would efficacy respond to any attack on territory of South of Serbia from Kosovo or Macedonia. Does it mean that our politicians are provoking attacks on our country by such statements?

Jelena Guskova, the manager of Department for Serbia on Balkan Institute in Moscow, was one of many guests and she said that strategic interest of Russia is preservation of sovereignty on the whole territory of Serbia. She pointed out new political approach of Russia which means that international law must be obeyed in every individual case, especially in the case of Kosovo and Metohija, because almost every country has the same problem.

Group of representatives of Serbian Strength Movement in City Assembly initiated that Mr. Vladimir Putin, President of Russian Federation, becomes an honor citizen of Belgrade. An exhibition «Putin – friend of Serbia» was open before the lecture.
